Full disclosure: this is my first beauty post. Let me just say, I am not the expert when it comes to skincare and beauty products. I usually rely on things my friends recommend or that I read about on beauty blogs or in magazines. I am guilty of falling into the same routine when it comes to taking care of my skin. I dabble a bit in a variety of products but mostly I stick to the same regimen.
Also, I don’t have much spare time to devote to these kinds of things, although I’m getting better the older I get. So if a product can deliver and the application takes just minutes, I’m pretty eager to try it out.
I had the opportunity to try Vichy‘s new face mask line courtesy of another blogger (shout out to Tiffany over at Flaunt and Center :-) ) and I wanted to share how it went. Let’s face it, we could all use a little beauty advice every now and then, especially as we age. I’ve always been a fan of a good face mask. I can remember many slumber parties where we covered our faces in what seemed like green plaster and watched endless hours of MTV. Those were the days…
Each mask takes only 3-5 minutes. I started with the Double Glow Peel Mask to remove dead skin cells and gently exfoliate. It’s incredibly cooling on the skin. Once my treatment was up, I massaged any excess into my skin and then rinsed clean. It’s recommended to use 1-2 times per week and I was very pleased with the result from just one application. My skin was super smooth.
I next tried the Quenching Mineral Face Mask to really rehydrate my skin. This mask is formulated with Vitamin B3 and felt amazingly gentle and cool. I will definitely be packing this for a beach trip or anytime I know I’ll be in the sun. But until then I plan to use it once a week for a little added hydration.
Finally, I tried the Mineral Pore Purifying Clay Mask. I was probably most excited to try this one because I’ve done clay masks before and really like them. Vichy’s is so smooth and creamy and really tightens up the pores nicely. I’ve used some clay masks before that I feel tighten too much, almost to the point of cracking and making me feel like my face is drying out rather than becoming hydrated. This clay mask was soft and gentle.
Each mask has a light and refreshing scent, too. Definitely not overpowering at all. Click the links in the post to shop or head to vichyusa.com and shop their entire line of skincare products.
This is not a sponsored post. All opinions are my own. I received the Double Glow Peel Face Mask, the Mineral Pore Purifying Clay Face Mask, and the Quenching Mineral Face Mask via Instagram contest – #VichyMaskerade.
