Plant your little garden and then when it’s time, reap the rewards into a fun evening of pizza and a movie, cooking a dinner together (have mom show you how to make one of her specialties), and playing mixologist. I’d recommend getting a kit for yourself and share how each of your gardens are doing.

Plan a Picnic

Picnic baskets make great gifts because they act as both gift and wrapping. Find a fun basket and fill it with everything for an easy picnic. Some simple crackers and cheese or a charcuterie board will do. Don’t forget the wine! Make the basket a theme with French or Italian ingredients so you can whisk mom away for a European afternoon. My mom loves being outdoors as much as I do, so I know this would be a big hit.

Yoga is a fun and easy way to get started or continue a healthy lifestyle. It can be done almost anywhere, too. I’d recommend wrapping up her own “yogi kit.” Start with a mat, water bottle, and a fun tank top and sign up for a few classes together. If you want to add more to her gift, get her a Fitbit and become friends. It’s another great way to stay connected.
