July 4th Style Edit

Fashion, The Edit Series / Friday, June 18th, 2021

Do you have plans for the July 4th holiday weekend? We usually keep it close to home, although in the past we have often been traveling in Europe instead. Our last July 4th spent abroad was in Croatia. I can remember waking up on our sailboat in Mljet to the sounds of Bruce Springsteen singing “Born in the U.S.A.” coming from a few boats over. Too funny! It was yacht week and there were many boats flying the stars and stripes. Our captain even hung a small American flag from our vessel.

On another trip, we passed a bar daily in Stockholm that advertised their upcoming “Happy Birthday USA” party on their chalkboard. They were going to serve “American favorites” like hotdogs and have USA trivia. It was spectacularly hilarious.

This year we have family in town and will likely do some grilling, some sipping, and maybe head to the pool. The July 4th Style Edit has pieces for doing just that, and all should arrive in time for whatever celebration you’re planning.
