You know that I love sharing new brands/businesses with you and that I love to support small business owners. I’m combining both of those passions in today’s post to introduce you to Ms. Fabulous, a women’s fashion boutique located in Carmel-By-The-Sea and owned by my sweet friend Kara. She sent me some beautiful new pieces from their Chasing Summer collection and I couldn’t wait to wear them! I think you’re going to love them, too!
You can see my try-on session of these pieces on my Instagram highlights here!
I met Kara on a trip to California a few years ago and we’ve remained friends and kept in touch on Instagram ever since. She is such a fun person and that energy really comes through in the collections she carries in her store. And if you find yourself in Carmel, definitely pop in and see Ms. Fabulous for yourself. She has so many things, including clothing, accessories, hats, shoes…there’s a lot to discover and you’ll have a great time shopping. But if you can’t visit, you can always order online and Kara will ship a beautiful box to you with your items lovingly wrapped. That’s just one of the many reasons why I love shopping with small businesses – the attention to detail and care that goes into preparing your order.
Every single piece from the Chasing Summer collection at Ms. Fabulous is perfect! For size reference, I am wearing a medium in everything. Details on each piece are below!
This comfy smocked top dress has been a go-to for Saturday errands or a date day. It’s lined and a good length, plus the straps are adjustable. It’s a very subtle green color and looks great with some boho accessories.
The perfect little tank for summer! So lightweight and airy, with cute ruffle straps and a lace detail along the front. I’ve worn this with white shorts and also light wash denim jeans. It’s definitely one of my favorites in my summer wardrobe!
Never Too Late Ankle Skinny Jean
I needed a light wash skinny jean and this one fits the bill. It has just enough distressing and I love the ankle length for sandals. There’s also a little stretch in them, making the high waist comfortable. I like the button fly, too!
Love, love, love this dress!! Fits like a dream. Moves with you in a flowy, feminine way. It’s the perfect date night dress or wear-to-wedding dress. I love how the back is shown off with the halter neckline. You will want this one!
Kimonos are a fun way to add a little coverage to an outfit or to break up a monochrome look. I love the deeply saturated hues in this one and plan to wear it as a swimsuit coverup over a black bikini soon!
This is the perfect sweater weight for summer. It’s light enough to wear on its own but can also be layered under a denim jacket on cooler summer nights. It’s stretchy and comfortable with a button-front detail and square neckline. I would pair this with a great pair of distressed denim cutoffs, white jeans, or even a maxi skirt.
I’ve really been liking the look of a tailored short lately. This pair has a cute fabric belt that cinches the waist nicely – love the square buckle. The fabric is a blend of cotton and linen, so you get that linen look without all the wrinkles. I am wearing a medium but could also go up to a large in this one. The medium is snug but I like that feeling in this style. I love that these shorts can go a couple of ways. Go casual with sandals and a tank or cami, or dress them up with a pair of nude heels and a blazer!
Which piece in the collection is your favorite? I’ll be packing a couple of these items up for a trip soon, so I’m sure you’ll be seeing more of them. Be sure to follow Ms. Fabulous (@shopmsfabulous) on Instagram too!
