When you were a kid, did you ever wonder what it would be like to have an entire department store to yourself? I used to think about that a lot, especially after reading one of my favorite childhood books, Corduroy, where he roams about a department store looking for his missing button. I mean, there are so many departments with so many unique things, that as a kid I just wanted to explore. Department stores seemed like magical lands to me. Well, I had the opportunity to realize my childhood dreams this week when I partnered with Macy’s at The Shops At La Cantera here in San Antonio. I had so much fun that I couldn’t wait to share what my dream date with Macy’s was like! And keep reading for details of my amazing GIVEAWAY!

Before we get into the details, I want to be upfront that this was a collaboration with Macy’s La Cantera. I am always thrilled to work with brands I trust, admire, and actually shop from. It’s partnerships like this that allow me to do what I love and keep bringing you the C&C content you look forward to. As always, all opinions are my own.

The first order of business (or maybe the appetizer, if you will) of my dream date with Macy’s was checking out some new fall arrivals. The Macy’s stylists pulled together a beautiful assortment of things for me to try on, and my dressing room felt like my own personal closet. Be sure to watch my “Shop With Me” IGTV video for an in-depth look at my day. So fun!

Next, we shot several looks and the stylists spent time orienting me to the new Coach and DKNY bags as well as boots and booties. You all know how I feel about bags and shoes, so needless to say it was hard not to just say, “take all my money!” I think they saw me lingering over the new leather arrivals and immediately started helping me find the perfect bag.

My favorite look of the day was this gorgeous INC maxi shirtdress! I love how it turned out with the knee-high black boots and Coach bag. But what initially drew me to it was the retro 1970’s feel of the style, and the fact that it could just as easily be styled with a pair of chic flat sandals for a night out in the spring or summer. This layered gold pendant necklace completed the outfit and it all went home in my shopping bag!

I also popped up the escalators to take an early look at some of the holiday decor that is arriving. Oh my goodness…if you haven’t shopped at Macy’s for Christmas decor, then you’re missing out. They have ornaments galore and the cutest accessories! Christmas is the one holiday I really go all out and decorate for, so I’ll be back to scoop up some new things.

Before leaving for the day I had to stop by my favorite Macy’s Beauty department – Lancôme! They already have some holiday gift sets arriving, like this Juicy Tubes gift set which would make the perfect stocking stuffer.
