It’s safe to say I’m having a bit of a faux leather moment. I’ve seen some beautiful examples of all kinds of faux leather clothing this year and I’m loving it. I jumped onto the faux leather trend this fall by adding just one piece to my wardrobe (a tactic I always use when dipping my toe into the waters of any trend). That one piece was an absolutely lovely faux leather skirt. I waited forever on this order to arrive but the wait was worth it. It got me thinking about other faux leather items and what resulted was a deep dive down the faux leather rabbit hole. Ok, so this faux leather skirt. You know I love sharing good finds with you and this one is just that. It’s a beautiful ivory color and the quality is actually really good considering the price. The stitching and raw cut hem are done very well and the weight makes it feel closer to real leather than faux. It’s also quite comfortable. My only comment is to size UP! I ended up taking a size larger than usual and could even have gone a second size up, but I like the more fitted waist. I threw on a simple fitted turtleneck and heeled boots, but I’m thinking any lightweight sweater would work, too. Or, swap this look for heels and a feminine blouse for date night. It comes in two other colors – black and taupe – however, the taupe looked a bit green to me online. I went with ivory just to be a little different.
