Comfy Work-From-Home Outfits

Many of you (maybe most or all by the time you read this post) may be living that work-from-home life now that Coronavirus has entered our reality. Since going full time as a blogger, I’ve been working from home for nearly a year now, and I can say that one of the biggest keys to staying productive and motivated is to get dressed. Never stay in your pj’s, even if that means just changing out of your pajamas and into a pair of joggers and a t-shirt. Trust me, it makes a huge difference on the quality of your day. Comfy work-from-home outfits are where it’s at, and today I’m sharing three of them.

Make sure you check out my IGTV for a styling video of these outfits, too!

Before we break it down, here are my 3 basic rules for building a work-from-home wardrobe:

  1. Invest in some basic tees – Basic white t-shirts go with everything. These are great!
  2. Re-think your loungewear – A pair of joggers with pocket or waist details feel much better than those old worn out pajama pants.
  3. Add a layering item – Think about an oversized cardigan, jacket, or wrap.

Comfy Work-From-Home Outfit #1: Tiered maxi dress, denim jacket, flat espadrilles

This is the most “dressed up” of the three work-from-home outfits, but it’s still really comfy. Plus, if a local blogger friend DMs me wanting to meet for lunch, I’m ready to go public (well, when we’re allowed to do that again). This knit maxi dress is from Lucky Brand and I love the fabric. It’s so soft! You could probably double this as a swimsuit coverup, too. Sadly, it’s sold out, but I linked some similar maxi dresses below that would be perfect. I always like to layer on this denim jacket because like most offices out in the real world, my home office can get chilly.

Comfy Work-From-Home Outfit #2: Striped t-shirt, boyfriend jeans, cardigan, mules

Rethink the old t-shirt and jeans routine with a striped tee and mules. A flat shoe that you can slip on and off is perfect for work-from-home lifestyles, and again, you could totally go public in this. I added a long knit cardigan for that extra bit of cozy. The boyfriend fit of these jeans makes them comfy enough for long hours at your desk (or couch).

Comfy Work-From-Home Outfit #3: Basic v-neck tee, joggers, blazer, slip-on sneakers

Can you ever have enough plain white tees? They’re a basic that every wardrobe needs. I like to wear mine with black joggers and these slip-on sneakers. This outfit is every bit as comfy as my pjs, but I wouldn’t be embarrassed to jump on a video conference in it. The blazer pulls it together, and this one has stretch which makes it feel more casual than it looks. And you guys have seen these slip-on sneakers before in this post. I can’t get enough of this casual shoe. They’re just the best!
