If you read my last post then you know I’ve been keeping busy creating while counting down the minutes until I can join Paul in Amsterdam. Every day that goes by is another day closer to being together. Envisioning our first evening cooking, drinking wine, and hanging out with our girls is what keeps me going. Something else that helps is creating, and today’s post is about this crochet crossbody bag I recently made. All the details are below as well as a few more favorite crossbody styles!
This cute crochet crossbody is the brainchild of designer Heather Cummings of Cozy Creative Crochets (@cozycreativecrochets on IG) and it is definitely one of my favorite projects this summer. She has made many different versions in different colorways but it was her original post that had me adding her pattern to my cart! You can buy it directly from her website here. Heather definitely puts the creative in creative crochets. I’m amazed by her talent!
I love how she styled this crossbody almost like wearing a fanny pack across your chest. It really works well and I can see this being a great grab-and-go bag for quick errands. There’s plenty of room for your phone, keys, etc. I love this crochet crossbody bag and it was super fast to make. I might need to make another one in a different color.
Yarn: Comfy Cotton Blend by Lion Brand in Mochaccino and Chai Latte (don’t you just love those color names?)
Pattern: Cozy Creative Crochets
If you’re familiar with crochet then you recognize the “granny square” motif but these squares are a little different. They utilize a butterfly and puff stitch which gives the bag a lot of fun texture. I especially love the strap!
If you’re into this style like I am, here are a few other crossbody bags to love:
