Lately, the song lyrics “Everybody’s workin’ for the weekend…,” have been on repeat in my head like a broken record. Not that I don’t like being busy, very busy actually, because I always feel more productive when I’m accomplishing a lot of tasks. But I’ve had a series of long days leading to late evenings followed by early mornings. My husband does this kind of routine all the time, and I really don’t know how he does it. So needless to say I’m ready for Labor Day weekend!
My husband’s birthday is also over Labor Day weekend so I’m sure there will be some low-key celebrating. He’s not really into doing his birthday up big, but he deserves to be celebrated. For now, we’re both just looking forward to a well-deserved patio happy hour!
