Mother’s Day is more important to me this year than ever before. I think that no matter how old you get, when times are tough you always want your mom. Maybe that’s just me, but moms have a way of making you feel like everything is going to be ok. I could really use a “mom hug” right now, but since we can’t do that I’m going to send her a beautiful piece of James Avery jewelry that she can wear everyday and think about me, just as I’m thinking about her.

The James Avery team sent over some beautiful pieces for me to style and gift for Mother’s Day. Since we aren’t going to Italy anymore this summer, I decided to wear something I would normally wear on vacation and go outside for some sunshine and fresh air. It might not be the Italian air I am longing for, but I love how this look came out. The jewelry really finished the outfit. I honestly feel like Sofia Loren in a classic Italian movie from the 50’s. Oh how this would have been perfect in Lake Como. Ah, così è la vita (such is life). We’ve had to get creative with photography around here, but don’t you think Paul did a great job shooting on this one? 

Anyway, back to the jewelry! My favorite new pieces right now include this pair of bronze and silver twisted hoop earrings. A pair of hoops never go out of style and they go with everything. I like this pair because of the mixed metals and delicate twist in the design. Plus they’re lightweight and the size is just right. I think these would make a great gift for any mom.

Another mixed metal piece I love is this geometric links charm bracelet. Mom can add charms or just wear it by itself. It would be perfect stacked with a few other James Avery bracelets, too. The design was actually inspired by vintage pocket watch chains! It reminds me of similar bracelets my mother-in-law likes to wear, so I think it’s a great Mother’s Day gift for her.

My next favorite piece is this hammered circle changeable charm holder necklace. It’s actually designed to slip your favorite James Avery charms onto, but I think it also looks great by itself. I’m wearing the 18” length but it comes in 24” and 30”, too, as well as 14k gold. Again, I love the delicate size and hammered design. You could pair this with another necklace and give mom a layered look.

This last piece instantly reminded me of my mom and I cannot wait to give it to her. The mama bear charm is just so sweet! My mom loves the outdoors, hiking, and animals of all kinds so I thought this was perfect! I paired it with a light cable chain so she can always have it close to her heart.
