My Favorite Home Organization Finds

Lifestyle, Our Home / Thursday, February 11th, 2021

I’m one of those people who loves home organization. Once I get started, I have a hard time stopping. I want to label everything and put it into a bin! I’ve done a few home organization posts here on the blog from my bathroom, pantry, laundry room, and closet, but I wanted to gather some of my favorite home organization finds from those posts plus a few new finds here today. It just makes it easier to have everything in one post.

My favorite home organization finds are perfect for the home office or kitchen, but really you can use these little organizers for all kinds of places in your home. It seems like everyone is getting organized lately. I saw an Instagram Reels where someone repurposed a mason jar into dryer sheet storage. Bottom line, you don’t have to purchase new things to get organized. But if you’re looking for a fresh start, below are some of my favorite home organization solutions that I did purchase and am loving.

1 – Woven Baskets

I have woven baskets in various sizes and shapes throughout our home. I keep laundry items, dog toys, linens, non-perishable foods, and cleaning supplies in them. If you have storage space out in the open, these are a beautiful way to conceal your stuff. I especially like them to store my record collection, as seen above!

2 – Ceramic Pot

This ceramic pot has so many uses! I bought it for our basil plant in the kitchen but it’s also great for utensil storage. You could use it in a bathroom for brushes or hair styling tools, art supplies or hand-held gardening tools. I love its beautiful white ceramic look and “old world” style design. Perfect for so many spaces in your home!

3 – Drawer Organizer Set

I featured this drawer organizer set in my Bathroom Organization Tips post. They’re great for keeping hair ties, lipsticks, lotions, bobby pins, and all kinds of other miscellaneous things neat and tidy. I also use these in our kitchen and laundry room.

4 – Lazy Susan Turntables

These are my most recent home organization finds! I just purchased these for our pantry and Paul loves them! What I love is that they fit a shelf that is not very deep. Our pantry shelves are just under 11” deep and these are 9” in diameter so they don’t hang over. We use them for our sauces, oils, and vinegars. Before getting these we were wasting a bunch of space. These turntables are really affordable and come in a 2-pack. They’d be great for a linen closet or beauty shelves, too!

5 – Stackable Egg Holder

Not only do I like the way my eggs look in my fridge, I like that it gives me additional stack space. Instead of two rows of six, this egg holder makes three rows of four so it’s not as long and fits on just about any shelf. I almost always have a container of leftovers stacked on top of it. It holds jumbo size eggs, too.

6 – Small Glass Bowls with Lids

These little bowls have been a big favorite in our house. We primarily use them in the kitchen for spices, sauces, lemon wedges, or chopped veggies. The best part is that they come with lids!

7 – Small Glass Jars

I am close to purchasing a third set of these small jars. We try to buy our spices in bulk, which is a great way to save money on them and make sure they don’t go to waste. These are a great way to store your spices and keep them organized in your pantry. They could also be used for little objects like paper clips, thumbtacks, small batteries, mini binder clips, etc. You can see ours in our pantry in this post. Don’t forget the spice labels!

9 – Reusable Fastening Cable Straps

These guys are not the most glamorous or pretty things in my home but they are super functional. I like to use these all over our home to keep cords tangle free and out of sight. They come in a bundle of multiple sizes for all kinds of cords. You could also use them in a junk drawer to keep lose pens, batteries, glue sticks, or post-it notes under control.

My Next Home Organization Project

If you follow me on Instagram then you know I’ve been doing some watercolor painting. I’m a beginner but loving every minute of it. Consequently my watercolor art supplies have grown a bit and I need a place to put everything. Right now I have a big tote bag that I’m just lugging it around in. While I like to be mobile and ready to paint anywhere (like on our trip to West Texas), I ultimately want to create a little art storage area in one of our guest bedroom closets. We have some built-in shelves that I’d like to fill with some beautiful yet functional containers for my brushes, paints, paper, etc. Pinterest, here I come! Once I have that done I will be sure to share on here. If you have any ideas for that, please let me know!

Happy organizing!
