I’m back with another crochet project! The weather is starting to get much warmer around here, so I wanted to try and make something as light and airy as possible. All too often we think of knits as items you can only wear in the colder months. Just because it’s made from yarn doesn’t mean that it has to be bulky and warm. This project is completely the opposite of that. It’s called the Deco Tank and I’m sharing all the details I love about it today, plus more crochet tank tops for summer!

The Deco Tank is another piece designed by Alexandra Tavel of Two of Wands. I just love everything she designs! Her projects are easy to follow and each of them is truly unique. She has a great eye for keeping her designs on trend and classically pretty. These are items that will be in my closet for years to come.

What makes the Deco Tank so perfect for summer is the yarn. It’s made from Truboo, a 100% bamboo yarn, so it is soft, silky, and totally breathable. This yarn comes in an array of 29 different colors. I made my Deco Tank using the color Khaki. I found this yarn incredibly easy to work with, too. I love this tank so much, I might need to make another one in another color!
The Deco Tank is inspired by the Chrysler Building and the Art Deco movement of the early 20th century. I love the straps that cross in the back – so pretty! I was concerned that it might be a bit too cropped for my liking, but it turned out just fine.
I am wearing it with mid-rise white cropped denim and my newest pair of espadrille wedges from See by Chloe. I thought it only right to pair my bamboo Deco Tank with my bamboo bag. 😉 Sunglasses are Ferragamo (sold out, sorry), but I love this pair. Necklace is Kendra Scott (sold out) but this necklace is similar.
