Is it the sequel to the summer of love? Perhaps it’s just my summer of loving crochet bags. Either way, I have another crochet bag pattern for you – the Hendrix Hobo! This crochet pattern is available for free in this post. Scroll down to download!

The Hendrix Hobo bag didn’t start out as a bag. It actually started out as nothing at all. Have you ever purchased yarn with zero clue what to do with it but you love the color and feel so you bought it anyway? Yeah, that was me. My mom was visiting a couple weeks ago and we went to a new-to-me yarn shop here in Amsterdam called Yarn Hugs. It was the BEST little shop for all things crochet and knit. They have lots of beautiful skeins in all kinds of colors and fibers, plus a large selection of handles, straps, and other accessories to complete your bag project. It’s where I found the handles for my Summer In The City crochet bag.
I picked up 3 skeins of Nako Vega Stripe simply because I loved the colors, but it turned out to be the best choice for a little hippie hobo bag like this one. Nako is a completely new yarn to me and I know it won’t be the last pattern I design with it. Nako has been Turkey’s leading yarn manufacturer since 1962! The colors in this yarn gave the bag a striped effect that someone on Instagram referred to as “giving it Missoni vibes” – love that!
