Yesterday, I mentioned on Instagram that I feel like I am one of two people during the winter months. I’m either a total homebody who prefers a cozy night in and not having to drive anywhere, or I’m a total escapist looking for any excuse to go exploring. Lately I feel like I’m trying to find that balance between feeling stir crazy and wanting a little winter getaway. Naturally, I titled the January Style Edit, Winter Escape Edition!
So, who is the woman wearing this and where is she going? In short, she’s a woman who enjoys chic classic lines with a touch of whimsy (that snake print scarf!) and she’s going anywhere she wants. So basically …me? I love the creamy neutral color tones in this edit and how they exude a calm confidence. White in winter is always so pretty. I’m not one for a lot of animal print but I do seek it out in accessories. And if I’m taking a winter escape it either means mountains or the city. In the case of this edit, it’s a city vibe all the way.
I also love that this edit is a mixed bag of high and low fashion pieces, meaning there’s a variety of price points. Those pretty little black and rose gold studs are under $15.
