As soon as May gets here I feel like I’m already in summer mode. We spent a relaxing Memorial Day weekend at home. Sometimes it’s nice to be home bodies. We slept in, made some great food, snuggled with our puppy, and sipped wine late into the evening. Friday night we had a little shrimp boil for two on our patio and were visited by an armadillo! I guess our wildlife friends are ready for summer, too.
This month’s edit has total sand & sea vibes. And the best part? Everything is under $100! It’s no secret that I look forward to our Europe trip every year, and these pieces have me dreaming of an Italian summer. This summer we are headed to Scandinavia, which I’m also really excited about. We’ve never been and the weather will actually be a little cooler than our last couple of trips. I’m really looking forward to learning a little Viking lore and trying some adventurous new foods. Bergen is supposed to be really beautiful and I can’t wait to see the rows of colorful buildings along the water.
Before heading to Europe again I’ll be in Santa Fe for a few days with my mom. We have been doing mother-daughter trips for a few years now and I always look forward to catching up. We have a loose itinerary planned that includes a culinary tour, a winery, and a road trip over to Taos. I’ll be posting some recommendations to the blog when I return. I’ve never been to Santa Fe so comment below and let me know your favorite spots!
With the weather hitting triple digits soon around here, I can’t help but be focused on these easy breathable fabrics and comfy sandals. I ordered that golden peplum top from the Nordstrom half-yearly sale. It would look perfect with those striped linen blend pants. Are you shopping the sales? You have to be ready to buy because sizes sell out fast.
