While travel may be put on hold for a while, it can be hard for those of us who spend a decent portion of our lives doing just that. It’s tough knowing when I may see some of my favorite places again. So what’s a travel blogger to do? I’ve been enjoying a little mental vacation here and there by going through some of our old travel photos. But there are other ways to get your travel fix, too. Plenty of books, movies, and even music can take you around the world. I thought I would compile my favorite ones for a mental vacation of your own.
Books
(Disclaimer: several of these take place in Italy or Paris – I’m partial to these places, what can I say?)
I will always recommend the book before the movie, but some of these are pretty great movies as well. I’ve linked everything so you can access a quick summary and purchase a copy, if you like. I have read each one of these and recommend each with love. Some delve into serious issues while others are a carefree break. I think there is something for just about everyone. For more detailed book reviews, be sure to check out my book list posts here. And let me know what you’re reading in the comments!
