Hello and Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a restful weekend. Our was packed with activity but it was so nice to get out of the house and enjoy the beautiful un-wintery weather we’ve been having. We tried a couple of new restaurants that I’ll be detailing in a future post and managed to squeeze in a little light shopping. We are so busy Monday through Friday that by the time the weekend hits we just want to veg out. So I was happy for a little change of pace and some retail therapy. Even the Mr. found a great deal and he never buys anything for himself.

I popped in to Home Goods and managed to meander my way over to the attached T.J. Maxx, which I usually forget is even there, and like a beacon this Kate Spade beauty was just sitting there with a clearance tag of $99. I love all the details of this bag, especially the contrast of the deep blue cowhide with the gold buckle. I also like the cross-body functionality, but the strap can be removed to convert it to a cute little hand clutch. It was the perfect unexpected find for our evening at the rodeo (this is Texas, afterall).

I’m just a regular person who enjoys playing dress up. I always have since the days of my childhood where I would put on my mother’s heels and makeup. I also believe that it shouldn’t matter where your clothes come from as long as you feel good in them. So you’ll notice a variety of brands, stores, and price points. I tend to invest a little more in shoes and bags, but I love to shop in vintage boutiques and my local Target. Doesn’t everyone?
