Finding Inspiration With a Travel Bucket List

As a couple who has traveled quite a bit (19 countries and counting), my husband and I are always kicking around ideas of where we would like to visit next. The conversation usually starts before we’ve even returned home from a trip. Seeing the world is something that puts life into our veins. It helps us gain a deeper understanding of the world we live in. It’s educational and inspiring. And to put it most simply, it’s fun.

I began thinking about all the places we have been and how truly amazing some of the destinations are. Honestly, everywhere we’ve been has been an incredible experience but there are some places that might be overlooked for a larger or more “glamorous” locale. Don’t get me wrong, I have Paris on my bucket list – it’s an absolute must in my book – but start to think beyond the big tourist destinations and really explore the country you’re visiting. We get asked frequently, “You guys have been to (insert country here), where should we go when we get there?” I realized that making a list is not only a quick and easy way to help others discover new destinations, but these places also make the perfect travel bucket list.

Everyone knows the concept. It’s a list of places to go, things to do, and people to see before you “kick the bucket.” Most of the places I’ve included are in Europe, as that is the primary focus of the majority of our travel. This list is by no means the “end all” of travel lists. Everyone has a bucket list that is unique to them. As we continue to trek across the globe, I know our bucket list will continue to grow.

So here it is, my Travel Bucket List!

Have you started a travel bucket list? Where are your top destinations?
