Instagram Roundup | February

Fashion, Lifestyle / Tuesday, February 19th, 2019

I know what you’re thinking. It’s too early for a monthly Instagram roundup, Erin! But the truth is, the rest of the week we are traveling and by the time we get back February will by all intents and purposes come to a close. The exciting thing is that we are ending the month in Vail, Colorado! I am looking forward to staying in the same luxurious digs as last year and just enjoying a few slow days of après ski. I have a couple new things I’m bringing with me this year, including a new fair isle sweater and this versatile top I picked up from Amazon. I liked it so much that I ordered a second one as soon as the first one arrived. The rest of my suitcase is pretty much the same as my Vail packing list from last year.

But before hitting the road, I wanted to round up a few of my favorite Instagrams from the month. If you’re not following me on Instagram, what are you waiting for? There’s so much more than just these little highlight reels! As far as my outfits go, I linked as much as I could and linked similar styles where I couldn’t. Bella made Instagram twice in February, too! I love including her in as much as I can (just need a healthy amount of treats in the process). My sweet in-laws are coming in town to babysit her, and I know she will be so happy to get to stay in her own house with them.

Many of you commented this month on how much you love my travel photos that I’ve been sharing on Instagram. I love injecting a little inspiration like that, so I decided to make one of my favorite Parisian sidewalk cafe photos the lead photo for this blog post. Every time I look at it I feel the travel bug coming on. Next stop – Vail!

Instagram Roundup | February

My Favorite Athleta Tights and Patagonia Pullover

Tights | Nikes |  Half-zip Pullover

The weather didn’t really cooperate, but we tried taking Bella to a park by our house. We even made a pitstop for donuts, our chosen method of coercion for this photo! She loves checking out the ducks here, so we will definitely be back once Spring arrives. It’s the perfect place for a picnic.

Favorite Leopard Print Clutch and How to Style It

Sweater | Jeans | Similar Leopard Clutch

I shared how to subtly include a little leopard print in your wardrobe without going full on Peg Bundy. This clutch has been a favorite of mine this month, but it sadly went the way of all the Henri Bendel merchandise at the end of January. I linked a very similar style, though.

Kendra-Scott-gemstone-drop-earrings

Earrings | Sweater

I had so much fun at the Kendra Scott spring collection reveal! These earrings are actually clip-ons and didn’t hurt at all. My grandmother never had her ears pierced and it’s so hard for me to imagine this being the only option. I was a little afraid they would slip off at some point. But they were gorgeous!

Gucci Dupe Clutch

Similar Utility Jacket | Similar bag

When you find a dupe as good as this, you can’t really pass it up. I spent more time shopping local this month and discovering some new boutiques around town. This clutch was on sale for around $25 from The Alley on Main.

Beauty Samples Worthy of a Full Size

Shop Beauty Samples and read my blog review!

You know what’s great about getting a lot of those little Sephora samples? Getting to try a ton of different brands to see what’s worth a full price investment. See which five made the cut for me!

Galentine's Day Celebration with My Fur Baby

Lounge Pants | T-shirt | Similar V-day Garland

Another Bella post! She will always be my Valentine, even if she needs a million treats just for one photo! Also, I made that garland from a store-bought burlap kit that I added to with book pages from an old discarded book and some felt hearts. It was so easy and I love how it looks on our mantel. I’m leaving it up the rest of the month.

How to Wear Bell Bottom Jeans

Similar Bell-bottom Jeans here, here, and here | Top | Wedges

These bell bottom jeans were a great find from another local boutique, Urban Provisions. I think the belted high waist is really what got me. I hear the Charlie’s Angels theme music every time I put them on.

Western Inspired Outfit

Similar Pearl Snap shirt here and here | Jeans | Similar Ankle Boots here, here and here | Necklace

Ok, funny story about these ankle boots. As you know, I’ve been a fan of Stitch Fix for a while. Well, my mom also uses them and these shoes were actually from her fix. She just felt the heel was too high. Thankfully for me we have the same size (I’ve actually raided her closet a lot over the years – but she keeps letting me do it, so it must be ok). What I really like about this pair is how high up the ankle they actually go. With a longer jean they almost have a sock boot look to them. And in spite of the high heel, they’re actually really comfortable.

Thank you for reading! I adore you.
