Friday is my favorite day of the week and today I have extra reason to celebrate because we have a fun weekend ahead! We are headed to New Orleans for a few days with my in-laws and I can’t wait to relax in the Big Easy. Not to mention all that amazing food! It’s been 18 years since I was last in NOLA, which seems so strange considering Louisiana is our closest neighbor to the east. Unfortunately the forecast calls for quite a bit of rain, but we’ve never let that stop us from having a great time.

I’ll be snapping photos all weekend with my new Nikon that I blogged about yesterday. I’ll also be Instagramming so be sure to follow me and my stories so you don’t miss anything!

Now I just have to pack – my least favorite thing to do. Does anyone else struggle with this? It doesn’t matter if I’m packing for a quick weekend getaway or a long vacation, it seems to take me two hours to pack. I shared my carryon packing tips on the blog a while back, so hopefully I can practice what I preach.
