Happy Friday! It’s Cinco de Mayo – who’s ready for a margarita (but not all the sugar and calories)? I’ve crafted a little twist on a traditional margarita on the rocks by mixing in a light blood orange soda. This is an incredibly easy cocktail you can make at home with minimal ingredients. It’s the perfect patio drink today, plus it’s low-calorie. So go ahead, have two! đ
What you’ll need:
2 ounces Jose Cuervo Light Margarita Mix (it’s ZERO calories!)
1.5 ounces silver tequila of your choice
Blood orange soda (I prefer the Central Market brand and it’s only 90 calories per can; split the can between two drinks)
Fresh limes
Prep:
Combine first two ingredients in a shaker and shake over ice. Strain over fresh ice into a glass. Top with blood orange soda. Squeeze fresh lime and garnish with a lime wedge. That’s it! Now you’re ready to party!
Cheers!
