Hello and happy Monday! I hope everyone is recovering after last night’s history-making game! It has been rather gloomy, foggy, and cold the last few days and so I’ve been reminiscing on our time in the Cinque Terre. We were there in late July (yes, still playing catch up on my posts) and temperatures were warm and balmy with clear blue skies and even clearer water. The Cinque Terre is written and blogged about frequently and you’ve no doubt seen the iconic image below of Manarola.
There are 5 villages comprising the Cinque Terre: Monterosso, Riomaggiore, Vernazza, Corniglia, and Manarola. It’s also a Unesco World Heritage Site. Each village has it’s own personality but Manarola continues to be our favorite. It’s a little quieter, a little sleepier. We took a sunset cruise to see each village from the water, where you get spectacular views of the colorful buildings, green hillsides, and deep blue waters.
And the sunset? To die for!
I highly recommend Enjoy Cinque Terre Boat Tours. Our guide, Daniele, is a Manarola native with great stories and history to share as you sip local Cinque Terre wines and snap away with your camera.
Ciao!
