Two of the great loves in my life are shoes and travel. The problem is that most shoes are not designed to walk for literally miles a day over cobblestone streets and uneven pavement. You’ve read my travel posts so you know we squeeze a lot into a single day.
But even though I want to be comfortable I’ve never said to myself, oh you know what would look great with this floral sundress? A pair of clunky hiking boots or perhaps a chunky padded sneaker!!
(Sorry, I just can’t get behind the “dad” sneaker trend)
I feel I’m my best self when I’m put together. I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again. A lot of my confidence comes from feeling good in what I’m wearing.
Unfortunately, comfortable and cute are two words that almost never go together when describing women’s footwear. We put ourselves through a lot for the sake of looking good.

When it comes to footwear, I’m the first person to admit I have a slight major addiction. You know my obsession with an espadrille style shoe, so I couldn’t wait to try Vionic’s Kaitlyn Wedge. This shoe is so pretty! The jute-wrapped wedge heel and ribbon ankle ties are exactly the kind of details I like in a shoe.
But are they comfortable?

You can’t even tell that these shoes have orthotic support!
Even the heel is soft and doesn’t rub. Just about every other pair of shoes I’ve owned tends to rub a little somewhere after hours of wear. But the Kaitlyn Wedge from Vionic didn’t. I’m so amazed! Did you know that Vionic also offers a 30-day wear test? If after 30 days you’re not convinced, they’ll happily refund your purchase. I mean, who does that these days?
The Kaitlyn Wedge comes in whole and half sizes. I’m wearing my usual 8.5, so I’d say they fit TTS. They also come in four colors – pewter leather, denim canvas, black canvas, and oat canvas (pictured).
