It’s officially spring break here and possibly my favorite time of year. The trees are starting to come back slowly and the weather is warming up. Business is slow this week which has allowed me some time to catch up on the many house projects, hobbies, and books that otherwise are piled all around. I just finished The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver and am still haunted by it. Highly recommend! It’s during these light and lazy days that I remember to do things that I love. Favorite things I find relaxing that make me happy. I always start the day with a strong cup of coffee topped with just a little foamed milk. Our sweet fur baby enjoys licking the cup when I’m done and I can’t help but love to see a little foam on the tip of her nose. So cute!
We have some fun weekend excursions coming up that I’ve been daydreaming about lately. But most of all I’m pretty excited that we’ve booked another trip to Europe. Drum roll….we’re headed to Italy! (again) It’s been a few years since we’ve been but I can’t wait to go back. It’s a bit of an extra special trip because we’re also celebrating our ten year wedding anniversary. My husband is definitely one of my “favorites.” 🙂 We will be seeing some new places like Milan and Bolongna, but we are returning to the Cinque Terre, a place we fell in love with. I have many favorite places but Italy is definitely towards the top of the list. So, I thought I would share with you some of my favorite photos from our travels. These are just a few that I’ve taken over the years that I find inspiring. More pics to come in future posts but these always leave me inspired.
Couldn’t you just be on this terrace is Lisbon right now? Bring on the vino!
You probably recognize this shot from my blog header. I couldn’t resist snapping a photo of this cozy cafe in Paris.
A hazy but dreamy look over Chicago.
The best parts of travel are the memories that can bring inspiration to an ordinary day. I hope you find your favorite places. Thanks for reading!
