Hello and happy Monday! I hope the weekend was good to you. Mine was really fun. Mostly I’m just glad to have my other half back in town from a work trip. All is right in the world again.

Well, get ready for Kentucky Derby posts this week! Today’s post is all about a sweet little Derby find and shopping local. A couple weekends ago we had some friends in town and did a little shopping on Main Street in Boerne, TX. One of my favorite shops is Jac’s. I love a store that always has something new to see when you visit and Jac’s is like a wonderland for me. Just going inside makes me feel good. I can always find something (ok maybe a lot of things) that I have to have. Naturally this tote went home with me.

I wish I knew the artisan (unfortunately there is no identifying tag and I neglected to ask) because it’s beautifully made. Jac’s had three versions, all with a stamped horse and green striping. It’s really deep and has a small interior pocket for keys or a wallet. It would make a fun overnight bag or farmer’s market tote, but I think the dark green stripes and leather handles give it the timeless classic feel that Kentucky Derby attire commands.

I love shopping local and supporting our local businesses. The helpful staff at Jac’s was so sweet and wrapped everything up beautifully for me. I can’t wait to go back and see what else they have!
