I always look forward to Memorial Day weekend. It’s a time to remember those who have served in our country’s armed forces. Although I do enjoy the extended weekend to relax and recharge, it’s nice to take an extra day and be thankful for those who have sacrificed so much. My husband and I usually put a couple American flags in our yard and I like to break out the red, white, and blue attire. I found this pretty little number while out and about and thought it would be perfect for a Memorial Day party, July 4th, or any time you need to throw on something comfortable for summer.

I love how lightweight the fabric is, perfect for our hot Texas summers. The skirt area is lined but the top part is not, so I would recommend wearing a bralette. I paired it with nude heels for a more dressed up look but you could easily wear sandals, wedges, or even a cute pair of flip-flops.

The red floral embroidery detail adds femininity against the light blue and white stripes. Of course, you can’t go wrong with tassels this season either. And these ball drop earrings are the perfect complement! The elastic waist is also really comfortable so you can enjoy all those summer treats comfortably.
